Is GeorgeLinks free to use?

Yes — during beta there are zero platform fees. Both the traveler and sender agree their own price directly. We want to test the system with real users before introducing any fees.
How do I start as a sender?

Go to Find a Traveler, browse the listings, and click Message this Traveler on a trip that matches your route. Chat to agree the details, then the traveler will accept your request from their My Deals page.
How do I start as a traveler?

Go to Post a Trip and fill in your route, dates, and how much space you have. Your listing will appear publicly. Senders will message you. Once you agree, accept them from the Find a Traveler page.
What is the 6-digit delivery code?

After the traveler uploads a photo of the item, a 6-digit code is sent by SMS to the recipient. At delivery, the recipient reads this code to the traveler. The traveler enters it on the platform to confirm the parcel was received. This protects both parties.
What happens if I enter the wrong phone number?

If the recipient's phone number was entered incorrectly, the code will not arrive. The traveler can re-upload the item photo to trigger a new SMS to a corrected number. Always double-check the number before submitting the form.
Is my personal information safe?

Yes. All sensitive data — phone numbers, ID numbers, addresses — are encrypted in the database using AES-256 encryption. They are never printed in plain text in any document. GeorgeLinks is GDPR compliant.
What items are not allowed?

You must not carry or send illegal items, controlled substances, weapons, undeclared cash above customs limits, counterfeit goods, or anything prohibited under aviation security rules (IATA regulations). Both parties are legally responsible for what they carry.
What if something goes wrong?

Use the Report Bug / Feedback button at the bottom of every page. All communications between users are logged on the platform. GeorgeLinks can review conversations and deal records if a dispute arises.
After we chat and agree, what is the next step?

After chatting and agreeing, go to Find a Traveler and find the traveler's listing. The traveler will see an Accept button next to your name. Once they click Accept, both of you will find the deal in My Deals where you fill in the consignment forms.
